What does "Collector", "Gamer", and "Budget" mean?

How do I know what comes with my game?

I'm looking at a current generation game. How do I know if the game I'm buying is new?

  • What does "Collector", "Gamer", and "Budget" mean?

    • At Classic Junkie we use our own grading scale to help our customers know what to expect from the items we have listed so they can shop with confidence!

  • How do I know what comes with my game?

    • When it comes to buying games online we know it can be difficult to understand what will be included with the game or system that you purchase. We created a glossary and guide to explain what every individual game will come with.

  • I'd like to see pictures of the actual item before I make my purchase.

    • For items that are premium, rare, high value, or where we otherwise deem necessary, photos will be included in the listings of the actual items that we have in inventory. These will be listed as "Actual Item ##" under the "Condition" product option and show every part that is included with the item.

    • If you feel a specific item should fit in this category but is missing pictures, simply send us a message or open a chat and we can fix that!


  • What shipping service should I use?

    • The service that you select is up to you! But we recommend shipping Priority for most orders (and comes with built in insurance). Ground Advantage (formerly First Class) is good for orders under one (1) pound.

  • I picked Store Pickup, when will my order be ready?

    • Store Pickup is available at either of our two retail storefronts in Glenside, PA or Lansdale, PA. Your item will be available for pickup the next day at our Glenside, PA location, and within 1-3 business days at our Lansdale location.

  • This game's condition is "Budget". Does this mean the disc is scratched or the contacts are corroded?

    • No! The condition descriptions (Collector, Gamer, Budget) only apply to the aesthetics of the cartridge and packaging. For more info, see our "Condition & Completion Defined" guide!

    • All games and cleaned and restored! The disc surfaces with be free of scratches and cartridge's contacts have been cleaned and polished.

  • Why won't it let me select the condition or packaging option I want?

    • If a product option is visible but can not be selected, that means we do not have the particular combination of choices in stock.

      • You can choose a different option in stock or can add the item to your wish list and check back later!

    • If a product option isn't listed that could mean we have never had that option in stock. Or it might even be an impossible combination! (For example, not every game has a box, making "Complete in Box" impossible.)


  • Why did the advertised price of an item change after I picked the option I wanted?

    • Short answer, it didn't.

    • Because we are doing right by our customers in communicating what Condition, Packaging, and Variant they are buying, the different combinations of product options are listed at the prices reflecting those options.

      • If there is a variation in prices, the price will be displayed as "from $##" with the lowest price shown.

      • Whenever you change the product options, the displayed price changes to reflect those choices.
